The young golfer can count on plenty of high-profile supporters as she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who is the granddaughter of a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses several golf courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she stated.
She mentioned that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just don't get nervous."
"My grandpa practically suggested to compete and relax," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's quite busy."
As an amateur, Kai has played in only three events recently and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
Yet she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, who is dating Vanessa.
"He represents the best player in the world," Kai expressed.
"Additionally, he's a superior human being. He suggested me to go out there, relax, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge some of most prominent players in women's golf at this tournament, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Tournament organizers stated that her participation exposes the sport to wider groups, particularly among the next generation.
The young star maintains millions of followers and recently launched her own clothing and lifestyle label.
Her first tee time at 17:30 GMT.
