The midfielder Crosses from corners and free kicks caused problems. Was given freedom to move down the left flank yet found himself offside as the pass came with a chance to score. Granted a well-earned break on the hour mark. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Operated in a high position out wide while also contributed with defensive duties. Showed moments of class but dragged an attempt wide. Substituted late on by a teammate, his competition, after being booked. 7/10

The winger Was presented with England’s top opening of the first half, his strike smartly stopped by the Albanian keeper. As a teammate staying deep, it fell to him to offer an outlet down the right side yet his deliveries from wide areas were hit and miss. Replaced late in the match. 6/10

The captain The difference-maker netting 77th and 78th strikes for his country. The first a trademark opportunist's goal and the second an excellent header following a clever run away from the opposition. Now 32, he’s only getting better and the side have every chance in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Struggled to get into the game from the left. Was presented with a decent opportunity after being played in from a teammate but Strakosha kept it out. His replacement had a greater effect when substituted. 5/10
